This place never disappoints. Great drinks, great food and right on the beach! Fair prices. Free parking. Great staff. There are two parking areas, which is great. You can stay all day or just stay for lunch or dinner. We love this hidden beach. But beware of beach tar out on the beach! It's a real issue. Lots of rocks at the beach, which makes it hard to walk but if you love beach rocks like I do, you don't complain.

Can't believe it took me until this year to make it out to the Boathouse. Even when I was living in Goleta, I never went here for whatever reason. The setting here is pretty spectacular - literally on Hendry's beach. The ocean views are beautiful and can be seen inside and on the patio. If you're lucky, you will even see dolphins! The servers are friendly and accommodating and the food is fresh and delicious. Definitely expect a wait here, especially during peak times and for the patio. Parking can be especially difficult as well, so you may need to circle a bit and walk.

06/15/2024 We had an early dinner at the Boathouse for my birthday celebration. It's a first come, first serve so no reservation. We had to wait for 30 minutes. But honestly, didn't felt like we were even waiting since there are bench around and we were just chilling by the beach. We chose to seat indoors and truly happy of the spot that we were seated. Food was amazing! Worth the drive from LA. I forgot the names of the food we ordered but i'll post the pictures here. Price are fair. Definitely coming back!

A busy, sunny, holiday weekend, we snagged the last table before the lunch rush. Ocean view, sitting beachside, this casual dining experience was perfect. The Hamachi was delicious and the ceviche filling.

We had a reservation so no wait but the place was busy on a Saturday morning. Started off with a Bloody Mary which was delicious, topped with shrimp, bacon and veggies (so many snacks!). So many good looking options on the menu but I opted for the salmon benedict. The bene was really flavorful and potatoes were good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The location is nice due to the view of the water which is great for photos. But it's not that close to other things so we had to Uber again to get to the Funk Zone.

What a beautiful view this restaurant has. I would return over and over just to see it. The food was also good! I ordered the Ahi Tuna to start which was nice and fresh. The flavors weren't particularly interesting, but I did enjoy it. My partner ordered the crab cakes and really enjoyed them (can't comment because I didn't try). For mains, we ordered the Lobster Mac and cheese which was delicious. It came out very hot and each bite was better than the next! We also ordered the Macadamia Crusted Halibut which was the star of the show. The potato pancake that was under the fish was sooo delicious. The fries were bland. Would definitely return!!

Awesome place. Ambiance is wonderful hearing the waves crash as you eat. Seafood pasta is delicious and the filet mignon you can cut with a butter knife. Our server Chelsea was exceptionally good.

Perfect location with stunning ocean views. They do not accept reservations, so the wait time is usually 45 minutes or more. However, if you arrive early, like we did at 11:30, the wait time can be as short as 25 minutes. We took advantage of this time to enjoy a leisurely beach walk. I had my heart set on the macadamia crust Mahi Mahi, but unfortunately, I have a macadamia allergy. The restaurant was very accommodating and offered to change the fish to Sea Bass for me. I also added grilled pineapple. The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the rice was buttery and delectable. The pineapple butter complemented the dish perfectly, and the grilled pineapple was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to return to the restaurant and enjoy the same dish again. The server who attended to us was friendly and nice, adding to our overall positive experience.
